The 2002 GeneRally Formula Racing World Tour was the first in the championship's history. It was held in 14 countries across the world.

Mid season changes[edit | edit source]

  • Fleming walked out of GRT in a rage after failing to prequalify for the first round so was replaced by Ryder-Burns for the rest of the year, starting at Ryder-Burns' home race.
  • Toyota will enter the series from Belgium onwards, when a deal is secured between the GeneRally Racing Organisation and the Japanese team.
