Lester 'Les' Underdown (born October 19, 1993 in Herm) is a Hermite racing driver, the first to be born on the small Channel Island.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Underdown is the second LFS universe driver after John Perrey-Wharf to be born in the Channel Islands, and, like Perrey-Wharf, took his driving lessons on the island of Jersey, since his residence bans cars.

He got his big break in LFS racing when disgraced Polish driver Mariusz Wisniewski, who was due to take part in the 50 Laps of Westhill, was jailed for life after massacring many passengers on the plane flying him back to Poland, most likely due to the scandal in which Steinar Nilsen had him banned from the rest of the A1GP season. Underdown took Wisniewski's place in the race.
