The 2012 LFS GP4 Series season is held on six tracks on the calendar and uses the BMW Sauber F1.06 car. There are two races for every weekend except Kyoto Ring, with the sprint race being held on the reverse circuit.
As in the case with Formula Two, drivers are not represented by teams.
Points system: Feature: Same as 2010 F1 season. Sprint: Top 8 drivers: 15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. Extra point for fastest lap in both races. Top eight finishers in feature race are reversed for sprint race.
