The 1999 Randomicity Formula One season was the third season of Randomicity Formula One and the first since 1961. It was won by Jens Kristian Davidsen of Denmark, driving for Stewart-Ford, which proved to be a surprise to the motorsport world as Fabiano Mastretto was the favourite to win for most of the year.

Mid-season changes[edit | edit source]

  • Johan Styffe was injured in a horrifying smash at the Canadian Grand Prix, and his injuries were so bad that he was replaced by Nabiki Tendo in the #6 Williams for the rest of the season.
  • Mathias Gela was replaced by Haruka Tenoh for the season finale, due to his superlicense being revoked for causing Walter Raimondi's huge accident in Malaysia.
  • Daniele Poli contracted herpes while driving in the Austrian Grand Prix and was forced out for the rest of the season. Fabian Dittrich took his seat for the German round, and then Giacomo Fattori from Hungary onwards.
  • Walter Raimondi missed the final round of the season as Mathias Gela sent the Italian airborne before flying into the Malaysian crowd. He miraculously survived, despite the severity of his injuries. Hank Hill of KotH fame replaced him, and Gela was banned from the Japanese round and disqualified from the results.
